Meaning, ISL clubs can only field a maximum of four foreign players including one player of Asian origin at a time during a match. The Indian Super League has implemented the '3+1 rule' for the 2021-22 season to adhere to the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) competition regulation. The playoffs will also be two-legged affairs. Besides, the top-ranked team in the league stage will win the League Winners Shield. After the end of the league phase, the top four teams will enter the playoffs. The teams will meet each other twice during the league stage, following the traditional two-legged home and away fixtures in football leagues around the world. Three stadiums in Goa - Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Fatorda, the Tilak Maidan in Vasco and GMC Athletic Stadium in Bambolim – will host the matches. ISL 2021-2022 matches can also be streamed live on JioTV. Fans can also catch the latest ISL 2021-22 live scores and ISL 2021-22 highlights on Disney+ Hotstar.
